As I mentioned in a post from a few weeks ago, I got back into Pokemon cards recently, and I wanted to share my first completed michi method binder page.
First off, I’l like to give a little background info on how I store my Pokemon cards.
I have 3 binders in total:
The first is my Trades binder, where I keep all of my cards for trading. I take this to shows with me.
The second is my Rares binder, where I keep the rare cards that I like and want to keep as part of my collection. The bulk of my shiny cards are currently in this binder.
The third binder, which will be the main focus of this post is my Michi Method binder. I’ll get into what the Michi Method is in a moment, but suffice it to say that this is my curated collection binder, where I keep the cards, or will eventually keep, the cards of my favourite Pokemon.
So that brings us to the question – what is the Michi Method?
According to Google:
The Michi Method is a creative trading card binder organization style created by Instagram user @peeplop (Michi). Instead of uniformly filling every pocket with trading cards, it treats a binder page like an art canvas by mixing single cards, intentional negative space, and custom multi-slot background artwork or photos
I only discovered this recently, and upon doing more research, I thought it was really cool and wanted to try it for myself.
That’s what brings me to this post; after waiting for a couple of cards to arrive from TCGPlayer, I’ve finally completed my first full page in my binder, and I wanted to share it!
Michi Method Binder – Page #1: Piers
Piers was an easy choice for my first page – he’s my favourite Pokemon character, and there are just enough cards of him to put together a full single page!
I printed the concept art as well as his League Cards onto matte photo paper to fil the blanks spaces that would have been left.
I have some extra Piers cards that are not full illustration cards, but they didn’t fit the vibe, so they will stay in my main collection binder, safe and sound.
If you asked me to pick a favourite card from this page, I would not be able to. I love them all.
I do have two other spreads in progress; one of the Galarian Zigzagoon evolution line, and the other for Toxel and Toxtricity. Galarian Zigzagoon is my favourite Pokemon, so they were the natural choice for the next pages. After that, I’m not sure what I will focus on.
That’s it for today’s post! Do you collect Pokemon cards, or have a favourite Pokemon? If so, I’d love to know which one they are! Would you, or have you, work(ed) on a binder like this? Did you know about the Michi Method?
Thank you so much for reading though this post, and checking out my blog today!

The Odyssey: A Graphic Novel.
The Odyssey: A Graphic Novel.
Apparently I am a collector of graphic novel adaptations of the Odyssey now. This one is definitely on the kid friendly side and has a simple, but effective, art style.
I’m always so interested to see how visual media chooses to adapt this story, especially interesting with the Christopher Nolan film releasing later this month.

I’m currently in the middle of working on 2 cosplays for upcoming events, one private and one convention. A lot of seam ripping is involved at this stage.

Under the Red Hood – DC Compact Edition.
I think this was the one compact edition that I’ve been waiting for since it was announced. I’m really happy to have a copy of this comic that I can easily through into my bag.
I’d love to get a compact (or omnibus) edition of Rebirth Outlaws, but I already know that it will never happen; a girl can dream though.
