How are you today? How has your week been going so far? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
My week has been going pretty well. I’m just trying to keep myself busy, mostly working on some craft projects.
Today’s post is my weekly round-up of new comic releases that I picked up from my local comic book store. This one is going to be a short one.
Let’s get right into it, shall we?

And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

How are you today? How has the week been treating you so far? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
My week has been pretty good. I attended Katsucon last week, which was a blast – thanks to some of my amazing friends. I’m getting settled back in at home now, and it’s been pretty relaxing.
Today’s post is my weekly round up of the new releases that I picked up from my local comic book store.
Let’s get right into it – shall we?
Single Issues
Batman & Robin: Year One #5
Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #5. Cover A.
Bruce and Dick continue to be at odds as a gang war is being orchestrated in Gotham’s underworld.
Batman has his first face-off with Clayface, and Robin goes off on his own – can the dynamic duo learn to work as a team, before it’s too late?
Nightwing #123
Nightwing. Issue #123. Cover A.
Nightwing continues to try and come to the heart of the conspiracy working in Bludhaven. Can he convince the gangs to trust him enough to stop a war?
Miranda’s job as Mayor is under threat – what kind of deal with the devil will she make? And how will that impact Nightwing as the story progresses?
This storyline is starting to get intriguing – not that it hasn’t been from the start. I hope that we get more circus clues in the next issue, just to keep that theme going.
Titans #20
Titans. Issue #20. Cover A.
Raven’s powers continue to be on the fritz, and they are affecting the other Titans.
Deathstroke’s plan is starting to come together, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it will go, and how the Titans will handle it under Donna’s leadership.
Variant Covers

Nightwing #123.
Nightwing. Issue #123. Variant Cover by Gleb Melnikov.
Nightwing #123.
Nightwing. Issue #123. Variant Cover (Hush) by Giuseppe Camuncoli & Alex Sinclair.
This Hush variant cover is so cool.
Graphic Novels
Red Hood: The Hill
Red Hood: The Hill.
I’m giving this story another chance now that I can read it all in one go. I don’t think my opinion on it is going to change too much, but I’m willing to try.
As a Red Hood fan, I really just want to see him get decent storylines again, that actually focus on him, and don’t just use his name because it makes money.
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

How are you doing today? How has your week been going? Do you have anything fun coming up this weekend?
I’m doing pretty well, at least as well as I can be. I am looking forward to visiting an Aquarium this weekend, and I have an anime convention coming up.
Today’s post is my weekly roundup of the new releases I picked up from my local comic book shop.
Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Absolute Superman #4
Absolute Superman. Issue #4. Cover A.
Lois Lane is on the search for Superman, being fascinated by him, and the stories from the people he has saved.
We also see more of the Brainiac System, and we start to get a feeling for the scope of Kal’s activities, and the people he has helped.
I am really enjoying this series, probably the most out of all of the Absolute series so far.
Absolute Superman #4
Absolute Superman. Issue #4. Variant Cover by David Talaski.
I adore this cover – it is just so cool to look at.
Batman #157
Batman. Issue #157. Cover A.
Batman faces off against “Commander Star” as the Dying City arc comes to an end.
I have really enjoyed seeing Riddler being used as a proper villain again, though he did end up getting overshadowed a bit towards the end.
Next will be the Hush sequel, which I am really excited for!
Absolute Power.
Absolute Power Graphic Novel.
I am looking forward to reading through this storyline again all in one go.
Absolute POwer: Task Force VII

I’m doing pretty well – getting ready to go on vacation, which is exciting.

Let’s dive right in shall we?
Absolute Batman #4.
Absolute Batman. Issue #4. Cover A.
I’ve really been enjoying this title so far., We’re almost done with the first storyline and it hasn’t disappointed.
I’m just looking forward to see where they go with this take on all of the Batman characters – especially Bruce and Selina.
Batman & Robin #17
Batman & Robin. Issue #17. Cover A.
The Memento Case continues as Damian continues to question his role as Robin, and whether or not he and Batman are really doing any good for the city of Gotham.
This is an interesting look into the dynamic between Batman and Robin, as well as Bruce and Damian as Father and Son. It’s also really cool to see Damian starting to question what he really wants from his life, and not just what is expected from him.
Also Red Hood is here.
DC vs Vampires: World War V #6.
DC vs Vampires: World War V. Issue #6. Cover A.
We’re at the halfway through at this point. Can Mister Miracle live up to his name?
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

Batmam: The Long Halloween – The Last Halloween #3.

The hunt for the Dents continues as well as the search for Jim Gordon’s kidnapped son. The new Holiday killers attempt to claim another victim – the Riddler! What could Batman and Robin learn from Edward Nygma?
Batman: Detective Comics #1091
Batman: Detective Comics. Issue #1091. Cover A.
Young criminals are being killed in Gotham City – and it’s up to Batman to put a stop to it. All while Bruce Wayne decides whether to accept an offer that could make him younger – will he take it?
Justice League Unlimited #1.
Justice League Unlimited. Issue #1. Cover A.
The Justice League is back and better than ever! With so many heroes all working together, the world couldn’t be a safer place, right? Is someone within their ranks already planning to betray tham?
I also really enjoyed seeing the Prelude for Hush 2 that was in the back of this issue. I really hope to see Hush go up against the entire Bat-Family.
Nightwing #120.
Nightwing. Issue #120. Cover A.
Things are heating up in Bludhaven! Can Dick Grayson stop the new threat to his city while also preventing a new gang war? Who is mysterious ringmaster working things behind the scenes?
Dexter Soy’s artwork continues to be amazing in this latest issue – I can only hope for a team up with Red Hood soon!

Nightwing #120.
Nightwing. Issue #120. Variant Cover by Francesco Francavilla.

How are you today? How has the week been treating you? Do you have anything planned for the upcoming weekend?
I am doing well. I had some car troubles earlier in the week, which was a little bit stressful, but it’s resolved now. I’m looking forward to visiting a museum this weekend.
Today’s post is my weekly round-up of new releases that I picked up from my local comic book store.
Let’s dive right into it – shall we?
Batman & Robin: Year One #2
Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #2. Cover A.
The mysterious General continues to make his move on Gotham City. Bruce has social services breathing down his neck, waiting for him to fail to take care of Dick.
I’m really enjoying the dynamic developing between Bruce and Dick, where they don’t see eye-to-eye, and Dick not having Bruce’s full trust yet. It’s also cool to see the little moments of genuine care that Bruce allows to slip through the mask.
Batman & Robin: Year One #1 – Noir Edition.
Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #1. Noir Edition.
Another Noir edition for my collection. Similar to Absolute Batman from last week, this is just a reprint of issue #1, just all in black and white. This art style also suits the noir really well.
Titans #17
Titans. Issue #17. Cover A.
The Clock King wants to use the memories of the Titans to figure out who they are and how to defeat them for good. Will new leader, Donna Troy, be able to rally the team to stop him?
Titans #17
Titans. Issue #17. Variant Cover by Rahzzah.
I love Roy’s expression on this variant cover, and Beast Boy as the little owl.
Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter #5
Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter. Issue #5. Cover A.
The truth of the Allwinter has been revealed – what part did Slade have to play?

How are you today? Ho has your week been going? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
My week has been going pretty OK so far, lots of stuff to keep me busy. I’m not sure what my plans are for the weekend yet, though I do want to catch up with some of the comics that I want to read.
Today’s post is my weekly round up of the new comic releases I picked up from my local comic store.
Let’s get right into it, shall we?
Batman Uncovered (One-shot)
Batman Uncovered (One-Shot). Cover A.
A collection of some of the fun covers that the Batman comic has had recently. I really like collecting these issues when they come out, and they are great art inspiration.
Absolute Batman #2.
Absolute Batman. Issue #2. Cover A.
Absolute Batman #1 – Noir Edition.
Absolute Batman. Issue #1. Cover A. Noir Edition.
I love collecting the noir edition for comics, and the black and white style works really well for Absolute Batman. The contrast suits the art style wonderfully.
Batman & Robin #15
Batman & Robin. Issue #15. Cover A.
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight – The Kryptonian Age #6
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight – The Kryptonian Age. Issue #6. Cover A.
This is the final issue for this run, and while I didn’t care for it as much as the original Gotham by Gaslight, I do like the introduction of Superman. This issue also teases this universe’s version of the Justice League.
DC vs Vampires: World War V #4
DC vs Vampires: World War V. Issue #4. Cover A.
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

How are you today? How has your week been going? Are you looking forward to the weekend? Do you have anything planned?
My week has been a bit of an up and down considering, but I am just carrying on. I’m looking forward to potentially checking out a local sci-fi convention this weekend.
Today’s post is my weekly round up of the new comic releases that I picked up from my local shop.
Let’s dive right in – shall we?
Absolute Superman #1
Absolute Superman. Issue #1. Cover A.
Of the Absolute titles that were announced, I think this was the one that I was looking forward to the most. The first issue didn’t disappoint me. The art style is amazing, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the story will go.
I will write up a separate post sharing my full thoughts and feelings, so keep an eye out for that!
Batman #154
Batman. Issue #154. Cover A.
The mayor has been murdered, and the list of possible suspects is as long as Batman’s arm. As well as that, he is having to dodge the police, and the Court of Owls has a new voice. Who is Commander Star – the vigilante endorsed by Commissioner Savage? Who is the man claiming to be Bruce’s brother? Will we have another Lincoln March on our hands?
So many story threads, I hope they’ll come together to something satisfying.
Also, I love the return of Carmine Di Giandomenico’s art in a run that I am reading.
My Adventures with Superman #6
My Adventures with Superman. Issue #6 (Final). Cover A.
This between series story has come to an end, and it was really cute. I think the story following the formula of the show really well, even if it introduced a character that we didn’t see mentioned in Season 2.
Overall, I enjoyed this run – it was a good way to introduce Amazo, and it fit in well with the rest of the universe that the show has created. If you enjoy the show, I would recommend giving this a read when it is released in trade paperback form.
Green Arrow: Annual 2024.
Green Arrow. 2024 Annual (One-Shot). Cover A.
I don’t usually read Green Arrow, but I saw the previews for this and had to pick it up. Older Ollie gets to babysit the children of some of the other heroes (including a child who is the spitting image of Roy), and they demand stories; and does he have a story for them.
This is a really cute little one-shot, and feels like a love letter to the fans of the Emerald Archer.
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

Happy Halloween to those of you who celebrate it! Do you have anything fun going on for the holiday?
My week has been going pretty well, and I am excited for Halloween today. It’s my favourite holiday, as well as my wedding anniversary!
Today’s post is my weekly round up of the recent releases that I picked up from my local comic book shop.
Let’s dive right in – shall we?
Batman – The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween #2.
Batman – The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween. Issue #2. Cover A.
I’ve really been enjoying this sequel so far. Things are really ramping up – Two Face is still on the run with Gilda, Commissioner Gordon’s young son has been kidnapped, and now someone is trying to kill the Penguin!? Will Batman be able to solve the case, with the help of Robin?
I enjoy that Robin has been included in this story, as I like getting to see what different writers do with the early dynamic between him and Batman.
Something is happening in the forest, and it is up to Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing to figure out what. I’m looking forward to seeing where this story goes, and where it will take Ivy’s character.
The Nice House by The Sea #4.
The Nice House By The Sea. Issue #4. Cover A.
It’s nice to see the return of the Vertigo label.
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!
