How was your week? I hope that everything went exactly as you needed it to!

My work schedule changed this week and I am still adjusting to it, so it made things very interesting for me.

I’m here to finish the week off right with my weekly comic book haul! This marks the 30th haul that I’ve posted!!

Let’s jump right in!

A quick note that I do not have any collected works or graphic novels this week, only individual issues!

Individual Issues

Knight Terrors. Issue #2. Regular Cover.

Deadman is still trying to discover what the Nightmare Stone is and what Insomnia wants with it. He gets the help of a long dead detective while still taking Batman’s body for a joyride!

Knight Terrors: Titans. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

Titans Tower has turned the Titans’ worst nightmares against them! How will they band together to defeat it?

Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic. Issue #1.

Terry McGinnis (a personal favourite character of mine) is back in this follow-up to Neo-Year. Terry will have to face a new enemy that lurks in the very bowels of the Old Gotham that Neo-Gotham is built upon.

I’m really excited for this run, I really enjoyed Neo-Year, and I’m always happy to have more Terry to read!

Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Issue #3. Regular Cover.

New and continuing stories in this new world of the Brave and the Bold.

Poison Ivy: Uncovered. Foil Cover Variant.

This is a collection of the variant covers from the current run of Poison Ivy. There are a couple of covers by Dan Mora in here that are really awesome.

I couldn’t resist picking up the foil variant for the cover – I love the Titanic reference.

Good morning Nerdy Birdies!

Apologies for posting this late, I spent all of yesterday driving home.

How was your weekend? Do you have anything fun going on this week? I have a convention coming up this weekend that I am really excited for!

It’s time for another weekly comic haul, this time it will be starting off the week instead of finishing it.

This week’s haul only includes individual issues, so let’s jump right in shall we?

Individual Issues

Knight Terrors. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

The DC summer event: Knight Terrors has officially started! I enjoy horror-themed events, so I am looking forward to reading through part of this one.

I’m also looking forward to the combination of Deadman and Batman.

Knight Terrors: Robin. Issue #1. Regular Cover

Naturally, I have to read the Knight Terrors storyline featuring Jason Todd and Tim Drake.

Will the 2nd and 3rd Robins be able to work together to defeat their worst nightmares? I guess we’ll find out!

P.S. I really enjoy the designs of the Nightmare versions of Robin and Red Hood.

The first of 2 variant covers I picked up of this issue, both featuring Jason Todd/Red Hood.

The second variant cover that I picked up. I adore this one because of the homage to Jaws, one of my favourite films.

World’s Finest: Teen Titans. Issue #1. Variant Cover by Evan “Doc” Shaner.

I’m looking forward to getting further into this spin off from Batman/Superman: World’s Finest. This takes a modern take on the Titans, including the use of social media, so I’m curious to what direction they will go with it.

The Titans team is made up on Robin, Speedy, Bumblebee, Aqualad, Donna Troy and Kid Flash.

How has your day been? Did you have a good week?

My week has been pretty good, even with the holiday in the middle of the work week. I had a really good catch up with a good friend yesterday and I feel really invigorated.

With all of that being said, let’s get into this week’s haul, so we can finish this week off right.

Individual Issues

Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent. Issue #5. Regular Cover.

Jon is starting to learn more about the universe he has found himself in, and figuring out where his allegiances need to lie.

Knight Terrors: Batman. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

Knight Terrors begins this month. I am looking forward to seeing how this summer event plays out.

Batman’s story revolves around the nightmare of losing his parents.

Knight Terrors: The Joker. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

The Joker is struggling with being the perfect Wayne Enterprises employee – how will he handle working an average job with a Batman shaped skeleton in his closet?

And that is it for individuals issues for the week. This month’s lists will be a little shorter due to the Knight Terrors event going on.

Collected Works/Graphic Novels

Batman: Three Jokers: Absolute Edition.

Three Jokers is one of my favourite DC Black Label storylines so I was excited to pick up this Absolute Edition.

This has the complete Three Jokers as well as behind the scenes stuff like sketches and storyboards. I love that extra information so these absolute editions are worth it to me.

How are you this morning? Today is my birthday, so I am posting this a lot earlier than I usually do!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful week! I don’t have any complaints about mine, so we’ll just get into the haul.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Issue #2. Variant Cover.

The stories in the first issue really captivated me, so I decided to continue picking this one up. I also really enjoy the Black & White vignettes.

The Riddler: Year One. Issue #5. Regular Cover.

We’re really starting to see Edward’s descent into becoming the Riddler. One more issue to go.

Tim Drake: Robin. Issue #10. Regular Cover.

This is the last issue of this series, thanks to it being cancelled (along with Batgirls) which is really a shame, as I’ve really been enjoying watching Tim strike out on his own, while also trying to figure out his relationship with Bernard.

I just really like this cover.

Graphic Novels

Nightwing: Volume #3 – The Battle for Bludhaven’s Heart.

This volume wraps up the last of the Blockbuster saga in the current run of Nightwing.

I always love the variant cover galleries that they include at the end of these collected editions.

Good afternoon Nerdy Birdies!

How are you doing this fine Sunday afternoon. I am enjoying a nice relaxing day at home, so I am going pretty well!

How was your week? Mine felt like it was never going to end, it wasn’t bad, it just dragged.

I’m here to close out my week with my weekly comic haul, I skipped last week as I didn’t really have anything to share with you, but I’m going to make up for it this week!

As always, I’ll talk about individual issues first, then follow up with collected works/graphic novels!

Individual Issues

Nightmare Country: The Glass House. Issue #3. Variant Cover by Elizabeth Torque.

I’m still getting into the story of this one, though I feel we are building up to something wild. I adore this cover though, the art style is beautiful and it really conveys the Corinthian’s character super well!

Batman: White Knight presents Generation Joker. Issue #2. Regular Cover.

Harley and Jack’s children continue their roadtrip adventure while Harley, and now Bruce, are looking for them. I’m really enjoying the contrasting personalities of Jackie and Bryce, and how they approach solving problems.

I do hope to see more of the Bat-Family soon.

Nightwing. Issue #105. Regular Cover.

This issue of Nightwing is awesome. It’s entirely from Dick’s perspective and it is so well done! I appreciate both the insight into his private life and his role as a crime fighter.

Nightwing. Issue #105. Pride Variant Cover by Toshi Yoshitani.

I’ve been collecting the Nightwing Pride covers for a few years, so I had to grab this one as well!

SuperBoy: The Man of Tomorrow. Issue #3. Regular Cover.

Conner’s adventures with the Cosmoteers continues, but is everything really as it seems?

Titans. Issue #2. Regular Cover.

The team jumps right back into the thigh of it by having to solve the murder of one of their own! Brother Blood is also back, though he seems to have gone through a metamorphosis.

Collected Works/Graphic Novels

Batman: Beyond the White Knight.

I have been waiting for this to come out for months, as this is probably my favourite part of the White Knight universe created by Sean Murphy!

It features 3 of my favourite Batman characters: Jason Todd, Dick Grayson and Terry McGinnis! This is the first time that Terry and Jason have ever had any kind of interaction.

This collects all of the issues of Beyond the White Knight and the 2 issues of White Knight presents Red Hood.

Batman: A Death in the Family. Deluxe Edition.

It’s about time I added this story to my collection! A must-read for fans of Jason Todd. This deluxe edition also features the story of how Tim Drake came to be Robin in the wake of Jason’s death.

Having this makes me especially excited for the Deluxe Edition of Under the Red Hood that is set to release in September of this year!

Batman Eternal. Volume 1.

I really enjoyed reading Batman and Robin Eternal, so I thought I’d give this one a try too.

Batman: The Last Knight on Earth.

I’m a big fan of the combo of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, especially Capullo’s art style, so I am really excited to read a Black Label storyline by the two of them.

This deals with dystopian future for Gotham, and I quite enjoy that genre, so hopefully this one does not disappoint!

As always, I’m here to wrap up the week with my weekly comic book haul. This week, I only have individual issues to share with you, though a graphic novel that I am very excited about is being released next week, and I just can’t wait!!

With that being said, let’s just dive right in to this week’s haul!

Individual Issues

Batman. Issue #136/Legacy #901. Variant Cover by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau.

I admittedly only picked this issue up for the cover, and for a couple of panels of the Bat Family that are included. It’s very cute.

Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent. Issue #4. Regular Cover.

This issue features more interaction between Jon and Damian, and Jon coming to terms with the new universe that he has found himself in.

I’m really enjoying this foray into the Injustice universe, and I am looking forward to seeing the impact Jon will have.

Dark Knights of Steel. Issue #11.

The penultimate issue of this series, and the plot continues to thicken. This is the series that got me back into reading DC Comics, so I will be sad to see it come to an and, but I am excited to read the conclusion nonetheless.

Also, this cover art by Dan Mora is amazing.

The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing. Issue #9. Regular Cover.

This issue made me especially happy with how much of the Red Hood we get to see.

Things are starting to get serious with the two men calling themselves ‘Joker’ as they both prepare for war.

Nightmare Country: The Glass House. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

As I really enjoyed reading Dead Boy Detectives, I thought I’d give this series featuring the nightmare known at the Corinthian a try.

The forces at work begin to reveal themselves, and the Corinthian is given an offer.

Admittedly, I wasn’t going to pick this one up until I saw the Dan Mora preview images from the Black & White section at the end.

I’m glad that I did end up getting this though, and I’m excited to read more.

DC 2023 Pride Anthology. Foil Variant Cover by Jen Bartel.

I am in love with this cover, and I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on it. This anthology is really adorable, I love seeing what DC comes out with for Pride each year.

Event Leviathan.

I picked this one up thanks to the inclusion of both Red Hood and Green Arriow, but I get a lot of enjoyment out of conspiracy and intrigue, so I’m looking forward to reading through this one.

Hello Nerdy Birdies!

Individual Issues

Nightwing. Issue #104. Regular Cover.

This is the last issue of the current 4-part storyline, and I’m excited to see how this story will end, especially given the cliffhanger at the end of the last issue.

Tim Drake: Robin. Issue #9. Regular Cover.

I’ve really enjoyed the change in art-style for this run of comics, though I am sad to know that it will be ending after the next issue.

Dead Boy Detectives. Issue #6. Regular Cover.

The last issue of this mini-series. I’ve really enjoyed reading this, and now I really want to read Nightmare Country with the Corinthian.

I love that I learned more about Thai ghosts and folklore through reading this series.

Knight Terrors: Preview. Jason Fabio Foil Edition.

This is a preview comic for the upcoming horror event. I love Jason Fabok’s art, so I am glad that my local comic book store still had a copy of this. It features some of the character designs and some of the covers that are going to be released.

I’m actually really excited for this event.

Graphic Novels

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest. Volume 1: The Devil Nezha.

Ever since I found the first issue of this in a local half-price bookstore, I’ve been looking forward to reading more, so I’m glad to have finally found this! This story is so cute, and I adore Dan Mora’s art-style.

The relationship between Robin and Supergirl is especially entertaining.

How has your weekend been? I had a really fun day out yesterday, and I’ve just been getting stuff done around the house today.

Individual Issues

SuperBoy: The Man of Tomorrow. Issue #2. Regular Cover.

The last issue ended off on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!

It’s fun seeing a character that I’m so used to seeing as part of a team, get to go and have an adventure on his own. It’s also really cool to see his confidence and self-doubt play against each other, and how they factor into his decision making.

SuperBoy: The Man of Tomorrow. Issue #2. Variant Cover by Simone di Meo.

Just, everything about this cover brings a smile to my face.

Titans. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

This week has actually been pretty big for DC comics fans with the release of issue 1 of the new Titans series!

They’re taking over from the Justice League after the events of the Dark Crisis as the world’s premier superhero team.

It’s honestly really cool to see these characters back together now that they’re all grown up. I’m especially interested in seeing Nightwing’s development as he essentially steps into the #1 spot.

I couldn’t resist the Dick Grayson variant cover, especially with cute little Haley there with the escrima stick. That’s a good Bite-Wing!

Superman: Son of Kal-El. Volume 3: Battle for Gamorra.

This is the only graphic novel that I picked up this week!

This is the last of the graphic novels collecting the run of Superman: Son of Kal-El. I’m excited to see how the story plays out, as I’ve really enjoyed this one so far!

Hello Nerdy Birdies!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and that you also had a good Monday! My weekend was very busy as I had my first Artist Alley, at Hazard Con. Vending at conventions is really fun, but also really exhausting.

That’s why I’m bringing you this haul a day late, I was just so tired when I got home last night that I didn’t have the energy.

Batman: White Knight Presents Generation Joker. Issue #1. Regular Cover.

I’m a really big fan of the entire White Knight universe, so I’m really excited to read this adventure featuring the twin children of Jack Napier and Harleen Quinzel.

This is the only individual comic book that I picked up this week, so we’ll move into the collected works/graphic novels!

Batman Noir: The Long Halloween.

I found this at my local Half-Price bookstore and I am so excited about it. The Long Halloween is one of my favourite Batman stories, and I love the style of these Noir editions, so having this edition in my collection makes me really happy!

Batman Beyond (Rebirth). Volume 7: First Flight.

Adding more to my Batman Beyond collection, and the introduction if Batwoman Beyond.

The Joker: A Celebration of 75 Years.

Another find at my local Half-Price bookstore. This was actually brand new and sealed! I’m sad that this doesn’t include the Joker’s Last Laugh story, but I’m still looking forward to reading through it.

Teen Titans (Rebirth). Volume 2: Turn It Up.

Picked up the second volume of Teen Titans while I was away at an anime convention over the weekend. I enjoy the team dynamics here, so I’m looking forward to reading more!
