My day has been a little stressful and hectic, but I have some fun stuff planned for the weekend, so I am looking forward to that.

This retrospective on Donna Troy is an adorable and heartbreaking story. We get Donna’s story from her perspective and her growth as a hero.
It was a refreshing break from the seeming break neck pace that we are going through storylines in the Titans’ run so far.

How are you today? How was your weekend? I hope that this week treats you well.
I’m doing pretty well. I have a relaxing weekend, and I have a lot of appointments this week to keep me busy – hopefully they make the week go by quickly!
Today’s post is something a little different for me – though it is something that I hope to continue with, and that is sharing cute outfits that I put together for nerdy adventures.
I’m going to start with the outfits that I put together to go and see Superman! I’m going to cover both times that I went to see it!
Let’s get right into it – shall we?
Alright – I’m starting with this photo, which is a flatlay showing the original outfit that I put together.
A little bit of backstory on this – I decided that I wanted to make this post when I saw these dungarees on the Her Universe website. I adore dungarees (or overalls if you prefer) so when I saw these short Superman ones, I really wanted to create an outfit with them.
Side Note: I will link all of the Superman related items that I mention in this post at the end. None of these links are affiliated or sponsored in anyway.
For the top – I thrifted this navy blue plaid button up from my local GoodWill with this outfit in mind. Originally, I was going to wear this underneath the dungarees, but as you will see from the outfit shot, I ended up styling it a little differently. The idea behind this was as a nod to Superman growing up on a farm in Kansas.
Accessories – my partner got me the Superman inline bracelet and Fortress of Solitude necklace from Alex and Ani as a birthday present. I love wearing pins when I wear overalls, so I picked up the Superman logo and Krypto pins from Hot Topic. The Superman face pin came from a mystery pin box from BoxLunch. (I actually got 2 boxes and ended up getting the same pin twice.) The leather wristcuff was something I already had that paired well with the Alex and Ani bracelet.
That brings us to the actual outfit shot.
Outfit Shot – Superman viewing #1
As you can see – I ended up wearing a Superman t-shirt underneath my dungarees and the button-up as an over layer. As I was going to see a late showing of the film, I wanted soemthing extra incase it got cold.
I guess the next things I’ll talk about are the shoes – I found Superman themed hi-top knock off converse at Walmart. I found them in the men’s shoe section, and they are very comfortable. They finished off the outfit really nicely I thought.
Lastly I wore some fishnet tights, just to try them out.
Outfit Shot – Superman viewing #2
Here is the second iteration of the outfit – pretty much everything is the same, except I switched out the Superman tee for a plain white one – it was quite warm out; and I didn’t bother with the fishnets or the button-up.
Pin details
As a last little thing – I wanted to include this photo showing the pins on the front of my dungarees. I lost the Krypto pin, which I am quite bummed out about.
What do you think of the outfits? I’d love to know your thoughts.

Batman & Robin: Memento.
Batman & Robin: Memento.
This collects together Batman & Robin Issues 14-19. The beginning of the Memento case, leading up to Damian’s shocking decision about this future.
This new villain to the Batman Mythos has been really enjoyable – though the story isn’t finished yet, at least the beginning is easier to read all in one place.

Absolute Flash. Issue #4. Cover A.
Wally and Grodd are on the run together – and the find shelter at a local youth mission. Might Wally have made an ally here? Also – what other experiments were going on? What has been unleashed?
Really enjoying this run so far – it’s refreshing to see a teenage main character act and think like a teen.
Nightwing #127.
Nightwing. Issue #127. Cover A.
There’s something freaky going on in Bludhaven – and it’s taking over the Titans Tower. Nightwing is torn between a family obligation and saving the person he loves most.

I adore this cover so much!
Detective Comics #1098
Detective Comics. Issue #1098. Variant Cover by Stephen Byrne.
Batman and the Penguin working together? If it means solving the mystery of Elixir, then I guess so. Don’t forget to add Harvey Bullock to the mix.
It starts out as a rescue mission – but how will it end.
I think this is the only Pride cover that I picked up this month and it is definitely a good one!

Single Issues
Batman & Robin #22
Batman & Robin. Issue #22. Cover A.
Memento has Robin held captive; so Batman will have to turn to the world of magic and the eldritch to find his son.
It’s so good to hear Etrigan’s rhyming verse again, though I am a little confused by Jason Blood’s design.
DC vs Vampires: World War V #10
DC vs Vampires: World War V. Issue #10. Cover A.
Robin & Batman: Jason Todd #1.
Robin & Batman: Jason Todd. Issue #1. Cover A.
A new story and sequel to Robin & Batman. So far I’m disappointed that this is just another “dangerous, reackless & angry Robin” story for Jason. I’m genuinely tired of that narrative for him, especially when he wasn’t like that as Robin.
It’s only a 3 part series though, so maybe something different will happen. We can only hope right?
Variant Covers
Absolute Batman #9
Absolute Batman. Issue #9. Variant Cover by Tirso.
Absolute Bane is here and he is a monster. I am relieved that is intelligent though, Bane stories are always so much better when he’s more than just a brute.
I’m curious to see how Venom works in the Absolute Universe, and how Bruce will handle this new foe.
Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #1.
Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman. Issue #1. Variant Cover by Dan Mora.

How are you today? Can you believe that we’re already in June? 2025 is almost half way over.
In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing the latest addition to my figure collection, as well as my Red Hood collection.
Let’s dive right in – shall we?
Box Detail – Front.
My latest figure is this beautiful Frostbite Edition of Red Hood from Three Jokers!
This figure was created by McFarlane Toys, and is a limited run of 4250 piece.
I came across this while visiting Brave New Worlds in Old City, Philadelphia and I immediately picked him up.
The photo above is the front detail of the outer box layer, below is the back detail.
Box Detail – Back.
I love the back detail – this is one of my favourite covers from the Three Jokers run, and I’m weak for art of Jason wearing a domino mask beneath his Red Hood helmet.
Figure Layout fresh from box.
Above is the layout of the figure fresh out of the box. I can’t really leave these figures in their boxes – they’re much more fun to display out of the box!
Straight away though, I really like the base for this figure – it’s wider than the usual circle bases and the peg sticks up a little bit further.
Jason comes with ice to cover his hands and his crowbar. The crowbar matches the regular edition of this figure, which I also have in my collection.
Figure Detail – Front
Here he is – out of the box and all setup!
The outer layer of his jacket is removable – though quite a hassle, so I don’t recommend it. His mask is also broken, to match the art on the back of the box. Its difficult to tell though.
I really like how well his points of articulation blend in with the rest of the figure.
Figure Detail – Back
And of course, I have to show him from the back as well. I’m surprised by how detailed the figure is, despite the frostbite effect.
Figure Details – Feet
I mentioned this above – but I love this style of base. I wish that all of McFarlane’s figures came with it. It’s much sturdier than the circular bases, and I don’t feel like the figure is going to fall over at the slightest movement of air.
Card Display
Another little addition to this edition is this fun pedestal to display the collector card that comes along with the figure.
I think this is something special to go with the limited edition, but I would pick these up to display some of my other cards as well.
Card Detail – FrontCard Detail – Back
The photos above show the details of the collectors card that comes with most McFarlane Toy figures.
As this is a limited edition figure, the back of the card has a certificate of authenticity instead of the usual character description. Mine is #777 of 4250, which is kind of funny to me.
The art on the front of the card matches the art on the back of the box.
The last photo is everything on display together!
And that’s it for today’s post. What do you think of this figure? Would you want him for your collection?
Do you have any McFarlane Toys figures? If so, who is your favourite?

How are you today? Are you looking forward to the weekend? How has your day been going so far?
I’m looking forward to a chill weekend, the first in a little while.
Today’s post is my weekly round up of new releases that I picked up from my local comic book store. As it is the last week of the month, this haul is a little bit lighter than usual.
Let’s get right into it!
Single Issues
Batman #160
Batman. Issue #160. Cover A.
The Hush 2 saga continues and everything is really going to hell. Why is Jason working with Hush? Why does Edward Nygma want to help out the Bat-Family? Damian is working with Bane!?
I’ll let the story continue to evolve before I really make my thoughts know.
I am enjoying both Jason and Dick in Jim Lee’s art style though.
Justice League Unlimited #7.
Justice League Unlimited. Issue #7. Cover A.
I have to catch up with the rest of the “We Are Yesterday” events before I can read this one.
And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!
