Three Jokers: Red Hood – Frostbite Edition by McFarlane Toys. W. Elorda’s Figure Collection.

Good Afternoon Nerdy Birdies!

How are you today? Can you believe that we’re already in June? 2025 is almost half way over.

In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing the latest addition to my figure collection, as well as my Red Hood collection.

Let’s dive right in – shall we?

Box Detail – Front.

My latest figure is this beautiful Frostbite Edition of Red Hood from Three Jokers!

This figure was created by McFarlane Toys, and is a limited run of 4250 piece.

I came across this while visiting Brave New Worlds in Old City, Philadelphia and I immediately picked him up.

The photo above is the front detail of the outer box layer, below is the back detail.

Box Detail – Back.

I love the back detail – this is one of my favourite covers from the Three Jokers run, and I’m weak for art of Jason wearing a domino mask beneath his Red Hood helmet.

Figure Layout fresh from box.

Above is the layout of the figure fresh out of the box. I can’t really leave these figures in their boxes – they’re much more fun to display out of the box!

Straight away though, I really like the base for this figure – it’s wider than the usual circle bases and the peg sticks up a little bit further.

Jason comes with ice to cover his hands and his crowbar. The crowbar matches the regular edition of this figure, which I also have in my collection.

Figure Detail – Front

Here he is – out of the box and all setup!

The outer layer of his jacket is removable – though quite a hassle, so I don’t recommend it. His mask is also broken, to match the art on the back of the box. Its difficult to tell though.

I really like how well his points of articulation blend in with the rest of the figure.

Figure Detail – Back

And of course, I have to show him from the back as well. I’m surprised by how detailed the figure is, despite the frostbite effect.

Figure Details – Feet

I mentioned this above – but I love this style of base. I wish that all of McFarlane’s figures came with it. It’s much sturdier than the circular bases, and I don’t feel like the figure is going to fall over at the slightest movement of air.

Card Display

Another little addition to this edition is this fun pedestal to display the collector card that comes along with the figure.

I think this is something special to go with the limited edition, but I would pick these up to display some of my other cards as well.

Card Detail – Front
Card Detail – Back

The photos above show the details of the collectors card that comes with most McFarlane Toy figures.

As this is a limited edition figure, the back of the card has a certificate of authenticity instead of the usual character description. Mine is #777 of 4250, which is kind of funny to me.

The art on the front of the card matches the art on the back of the box.

The last photo is everything on display together!

And that’s it for today’s post. What do you think of this figure? Would you want him for your collection?

Do you have any McFarlane Toys figures? If so, who is your favourite?

W. Elorda’s Nerdy Collections – Red Hood and Talon Mini-Figures

Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

How have you been doing? How is your week going so far?

Can you believe that it’s February? January felt like it was never going to end, while also going too fast at the same time. Time works in funny ways doesn’t it?

In today’s post, I want to share the latest additions to my figure collections. I want to get better about posting stuff like this to the blog, so I’m starting here.

Let’s get right into it – shall we?

Jason Todd Mini Figure

First off is this adorable mini-figure of Jason Todd/Red Hood. He’s wearing red domino mask and has a bag of money at his feet. He stands at about 3 inches tall.

I think he is based on Jason’s design from Red Hood and the Outlaws, but the bag of money comes from Under the Red Hood.

Talon Mini Figure

The other mini-figure that I picked up is of Talon. This is a depiction of Richard Grayson from the Dark Multiverse Hush comic. The Grayson of Gotham himself.

Basically what would have happened if Bruce hadn’t been around to adopt Dick.

He stands a little bit taller than Red Hood, mostly because of the posing and the rooftop scene. I love the little detail of the feather next to him.

I got both of these figures from BallerCatsKotatsu on Etsy. This video is not sponsored, but I do recommend checking out this shop.

This was a very quick post, but I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know any other posts you’d like to see from me – I’m always happy to see suggestions!

Nerdy Thrift Store Finds: Episode 2

Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

How are you today? How was your weekend? I hope that your week goes well, and that you get everything that you need.

I’m doing pretty well. My original plans for the weekend fell through, but that is OK, because I went thrifting/antiquing instead! Have you ever been thrifting?

In today’s post, I will be sharing something I found while visiting an antique store in Ohio, called Mr. Darby’s. It was a really neat place.

Let’s get right into what I found!

Nerdy Thrift Store Finds: Episode 2

Guts Nendoroid

Ta-da! I found this Guts Nendoroid!

I was so excited when I saw him sitting on a shelf, I almost missed him, so it’s important to always look up when you’re in any kind of antique or thrift store! I was even more excited when I pulled him down and saw that he was brand new and still sealed.

That’s not the case anymore, but that is beside the point.

Below are some photos of him out of the box.

I couldn’t resist swapping his face plate. I love his unhinged grin.

The Dragonslayer isn’t exactly a detailed sword, but I love it regardless.

I think one of my favourite details is the cloak, and that you can spread it out depending upon how you want to pose.

I’m a huge fan of Berserk, and I missed out on the original release of this guy, so having him as part of my collection now is awesome! He has so many fun little details, and the expressions that Good Smile Company chose to include are so perfect.

All-in-all a very cool nerdy thrift store find. I think it will be a while before I can top this one!

As an extra, added bonus, below is a little video that I uploaded to my Tik-Tok (linked below), showing him off!

And that is it for this week’s haul! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as any recommendations for stuff you think I should read!

Figure Collection: Red Hood Unmasked by McFarlane Toys (Gold Label)

Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

How are you doing today? How was your weekend?

My weekend was pretty chill, I went on a visit to a local Museum, which will be featured on my Photography Blog pretty soon!

I also got a new addition to my figure collection over the weekend, so that will be the subject of today’s post!

A little bit of backstory: I’m trying to piece together all of the Red Hood/Jason Todd figures from McFarlane Toys, so I was really excited when I came across one of the figures that I needed on Mercari.

New 52: Red Hood Unmasked (Gold Label) by McFarlane Toys

This figure was shipped to me inside the box, so I’ll start by sharing the photos of him inside the box.

Below are the specs on this figure, from the McFarlane Toys website.

Release Date: 2021
Scale: 7″
Brand: DC Multiverse

  • Designed with Ultra Articulation with up to 22 moving parts for full range of posing and play
  • Red Hood is featured unmasked and is based on his look in the New 52 Comics
  • Red Hood includes the All-Blades, a crowbar, and a base
  • Included collectable art card with Red Hood figure photography on the front, and character biography on the back

I think my favourite detail about this figure is that he comes with the All-Blades, one of his primary weapons in his Red Hood and the Outlaws New 52 comic run.

Of course, I took him out of hos box to display him on the shelf with the rest of my collection.

Red Hood Unmasked – Out of Box

I displayed him holding the flaming All-Blade.

This figure suffers from the same issue that is my major complaint about McFarlane figures, and that is that he is only attached to the base by a single peg. The figure has a hole in each heel for the display, but the base on has one peg. This makes the figure unstable as he is on the top-heavy side.

With that being said, I am happy to have another figure that is Red Hood without the helmet.

My last photo is just going to be a close up on his face and chest.

Red Hood Unmasked: Detail View

I really like how bold the Red Hood symbol is against the black of his uniform.

Overall, I am happy to have this in my collection, he’s definitely one of my favourite pieces.

Would anyone be interested in seeing all of my Red Hood collection together? I have something coming in that I am really excited about – I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

And that is it for today’s post! I hope that you enjoyed it!

Figure Collection: DC Direct Artist Alley Series – Barbara Gordon/Batgirl by Chrissie Zullo

W. Elorda’s Figure Collection

Hello Nerdy Birdies!

How are you doing today? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend, or are you just going to relax?

I recently added another figure to my collection, so I’m here today to share her with you.

DC Direct Artist Alley Series – Batgirl by Chrissie Zullo

Front View

Here she is! This is Barbara Gordon/Batgirl designed by Chrissie Zullo!

She stands at 7 inches tall and is made from vinyl.

This figure has been sitting on the shelf at my local comic book store for a while now, and I finally decided to pick her up.

She is technically my second figure of Batgirl, though the first is part of a diorama from Gotham Knights, so she is the first figure I own from DC that is not Red Hood or Nightwing.

Back View

On the photo above, you can see that she is part of a numbered series.

I absolutely adore the design and details on this figure (which are pictured below.) From the colour of her hair, to her freckles and her eager expression.

I also just love that she is riding on a scooter, a cute detail.

The colours on this figure are bright and vibrant, a great nod to Barbara’s personality.

There is a Black and White version of this same figure, but I do not think I wold pick it up if I were to come across it.

I paid $60 for this figure, again from my local comic book store, and she was definitely worth it.

And that is it for today’s post – what do you think? Is she a figure you would want in your collection, or do you already have her? Are there any other figures from the Artist Alley series that you would recommend? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Figure Collection: Kotobukiya Ikemen Series – Red Hood/Jason Todd.

Hello Nerdy Birdies!

Happy Friday! How is your day going so far? Do you have anything excited planned for the weekend?

I’m going to a flea market on Sunday that I am really excited for. I’ll be keeping my eye out for any fun vintage finds!

In today’s post, I will be sharing the latest addition to my figure collection, and is anyone surprised that it is a figure of Jason Todd/Red Hood?

I’ll share photos first, then I’ll get into a little bit of information.

Front View

Upper Body Details

This figure was put out by Kotobukiya, and is part of the Ikemen Series.

As far as I am aware, the DC collection features Bruce/Wayne/Batman, Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Jason Todd/Red Hood, Tim Drake/Red Robin, Damian Wayne/Robin and the Joker.

I would like to try and collect them all, but Jason was the most important.

He is honestly a Holy Grail figure for my collection – the others being the statues put out by Prime1 Studios.

He stands at 9 inches tall and is made of resin. He is attached to his base with magnets. He comes with two additional heads, one being his full Red Hood helmet and the other being his face with domino mask.

He was released in 2018.

I’m so happy to have this figure in my collection, he has pride of place on my desk, surrounded by my smaller figurines.

And that is it for this post! I hope that you enjoyed! Do you happen to collect figures, do you have a favourite? If not, is there anything you collect? I’d love to hear all about it.
