Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

Happy Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it!

How are you today? How has your week been going? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?

My week is going pretty well, and I am doing OK. I’m looking forward to going on a little adventure with my partner on Saturday, and seeing my family today.

Today’s post is my weekly round up of the new DC Comics releases that I picked up from my local comic book store last night.

Let’s dive right in, shall we?

Batmam: The Long Halloween – The Last Halloween #3.

The hunt for the Dents continues as well as the search for Jim Gordon’s kidnapped son. The new Holiday killers attempt to claim another victim – the Riddler! What could Batman and Robin learn from Edward Nygma?

Batman: Detective Comics. Issue #1091. Cover A.

Young criminals are being killed in Gotham City – and it’s up to Batman to put a stop to it. All while Bruce Wayne decides whether to accept an offer that could make him younger – will he take it?

Justice League Unlimited. Issue #1. Cover A.

The Justice League is back and better than ever! With so many heroes all working together, the world couldn’t be a safer place, right? Is someone within their ranks already planning to betray tham?

I also really enjoyed seeing the Prelude for Hush 2 that was in the back of this issue. I really hope to see Hush go up against the entire Bat-Family.

Nightwing. Issue #120. Cover A.

Things are heating up in Bludhaven! Can Dick Grayson stop the new threat to his city while also preventing a new gang war? Who is mysterious ringmaster working things behind the scenes?

Dexter Soy’s artwork continues to be amazing in this latest issue – I can only hope for a team up with Red Hood soon!

New Comic Day – 20th November 2024

Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

How are you today? How has the week been treating you? Do you have anything planned for the upcoming weekend?

I am doing well. I had some car troubles earlier in the week, which was a little bit stressful, but it’s resolved now. I’m looking forward to visiting a museum this weekend.

Today’s post is my weekly round-up of new releases that I picked up from my local comic book store.

Let’s dive right into it – shall we?

Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #2. Cover A.

The mysterious General continues to make his move on Gotham City. Bruce has social services breathing down his neck, waiting for him to fail to take care of Dick.

I’m really enjoying the dynamic developing between Bruce and Dick, where they don’t see eye-to-eye, and Dick not having Bruce’s full trust yet. It’s also cool to see the little moments of genuine care that Bruce allows to slip through the mask.

Batman & Robin: Year One #1 – Noir Edition.

Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #1. Noir Edition.

Another Noir edition for my collection. Similar to Absolute Batman from last week, this is just a reprint of issue #1, just all in black and white. This art style also suits the noir really well.

Titans. Issue #17. Cover A.

The Clock King wants to use the memories of the Titans to figure out who they are and how to defeat them for good. Will new leader, Donna Troy, be able to rally the team to stop him?

Titans. Issue #17. Variant Cover by Rahzzah.

I love Roy’s expression on this variant cover, and Beast Boy as the little owl.

Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter. Issue #5. Cover A.

The truth of the Allwinter has been revealed – what part did Slade have to play?

New Comic Day – 16th October 2024

How are you today? How has your week been going so far? Do you have anything planned for the upcoming weekend?

My week so far has been OK. I celebrated my 10 year anniversary with my partner, which was pretty cool, but other than that the week has just been so-so.

Today’s post is my weekly round up of all of the new comic releases that I picked up from my local comic book store.

Let’s jump right into it – shall we?

Batman & Robin: Year One. Issue #1. Cover A.

It’s the public debut of the dynamic duo in this new comic run! How will Gotham City react to Batman’s young new partner?

I’m curious to see where this run will go. The first issue was a good setup, and establishes the dynamic between Bruce and Dick really well.

Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter. Issue #4. Cover A.

Nightwing. Issue #118. Cover A.

The last issue of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo’s run of Nightwing!

Nightwing finally faces off against Heartless man-to-man! How will he defeat his latest villain, who is determined to destroy him as both Nightwing and Dick Grayson?

I am looking forward to seeing where Dan Watters and Dexter Soy take this story.
